Statement of Purpose

The purpose of a flower show is threefold: to set standards of artistic and horticultural excellence; to broaden knowledge of horticulture, floral design,
conservation, photography and other related areas; and to share the beauty of a show with fellow club members and with the public.

The purpose of The Garden Club of America is to stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening;to share the advantage of association by means of educational meetings, conferences, correspondence and publications; and to restore, improve and protect the quality of the environment through education programs and action in the fields of conservation and civic improvement.
